The aim of this study is to determine the attitudes of eighth and ninth grade students towards physical education course and to compare them in terms of variables such as gender and grade level. A total of 1271 students, including 256 girls and 303 boys in the eight grade of 28 secondary schools, 340 girls and 372 boys in the ninth grade of 13 high schools, participated in the study voluntarily. Physical Education and Sports Attitude Scale developed by Demirhan and Altay (2001) was used to measure student attitudes. Kolmogorov-Smirnov analysis was used to determine whether the data were distributed normally and data were not normally distributed. Mann-Whitney U test was used to determine whether there was a difference between the attitudes of the participants about physical education lesson according to variables such as gender and grade level after calculating the mean and standard deviations of the attitude points of the participants. Statistical significance was accepted as p <0.05. As a result of the research findings; As a result of the comparison of the attitudes of the eighth and ninth grade students towards physical education course according to gender, a statistically significant difference was found (p <0.05). A significant difference was found as a result of comparing the attitudes of eighth grade students and ninth grade students towards physical education course (p <0.05).
