Children's books are one of the important tools of children's literature. The child is familiar with the book between 0 and 2 years of age. The most determining feature of this period is the establishment of the first connection between the child and the book. Through a book that enters the child’s life as an effective stimulant, the child begins to get acquainted with hearing, linguistic and cultural objects. Another subject that is as important as the child’s early age’s connection with the book enables the child to meet with the proper and developmental quality of the books. Books prepared in accordance with the principle of relativity to the child must be in accordance with the level and age of the child. The aim of this study is to investigate whether Andrew Clements’s child literary work, This Name Findel, is relative to the child. The data obtained from the quality research methods through the document review method is studied in the framework of design, subject, message, character, language and narrative, educational principles. The outstanding outcomes of the study are: the visual and linguistic elements in the book's content and exterior cover design are relatively suitable for the child, the pictures are drawn in such a way that help the children to illustrate the subject; the events in the book allow the children to laugh, excite, dream and think; the critical thinking and creativity themes are processed because the rules are often questioned in the book; the heroes in the book are in the ability to respond to the child's need for love and confidence; the character and events in the book's descriptions are given a lot of place to the words, the names, the names, and the twins.

Children’s books are important instruments of children's literature. A child meets the book between the ages of 0-2. The most decisive feature of this period is the establishment of the first link between the child and the book. Another element that is as important as the child's bonding with the book at an early age brings the child to the right and suitable books for the period of development. Books prepared in accordance with the principle of suitable for the child should be appropriate to the level and age of the child. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether Andrew Clements novel, which is named as Frindle, is suitable for children. In this study, which examined a book in terms of the basic elements of children's literature, the principles of qualitative research method were followed. The data were obtained by using document analysis method which is one of the qualitative research methods and examined within the framework of design, subject, message, character, language and expression, educational principles. The results of the research are as follows: the visual and linguistic elements of the book's content and cover design are appropriate for children. The pictures are drawn to help children to describe the subject. The events in the book allow children to laugh, excite, dream and think. Critical thinking and creativity themes are covered in the book because the rules are frequently questioned in the text. The characters in the book are appropriate for the child's need for love and trust. Idioms, adjective and noun phrases, and dilemmas are widely used in character and event descriptions.
