İnsanoğlu ilk çağlardan bu yana hayatında yer alan varlık ve nesneleri ölçme eğiliminde olmuştur. Mağara duvarlarına çizilen resimler, çentik sistemi, ay ve güneşin hareketleri gibi ölçme teşebbüsleri daha sonra modern yüzyıllardan itibaren yerini tüm dünyada ortak bir standarta bağlanıp benimsenen ölçü birimlerine bırakmıştır. Buna rağmen insanoğlunun daha ilk yüzyıllardayken bile benimsediği başlıca iki yöntemden biri olan antropometri sistemiyle oluşturduğu ölçü birimleri bugün yerini ilk çağlardaki gibi korumaktadır. Antropometri sistemine göre insanoğlu, ölçümlerinin pek çoğunu bu beş duyu organı ile tecrübe etmekte, hatta bu ölçümleri dile yansıtırken de zaman zaman çeşitli organ adlarını kullanmaktadır. Bu türden organ adlarıyla yapılan ölçümler, bugün gündelik yaşamda en sık başvurulan bir pratik olarak dilde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Çalışmamızda Türkiye Türkçesinde antropometri sistemine göre oluşturulmuş tahminî bir ölçü bildiren ifadeler tespit edilerek anlam açısından sınıflandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Türkiye Türkçesinde insan bedeni üzerinden oluşturulan ölçü birimlerinde başlıca iki yol izlenmektedir: 1. Doğrudan insan bedeni ve insan bedeninin bölümlerini ifade eden sözcüklerle oluşturulan tahminî ölçü birimleri. 2. Bu organların bazı eylemleri gerçekleştirmek suretiyle alabileceği miktara, bu eylem adlarını vermiştir. Bu iki şekilde oluşturulan ölçü birimleri, anlam ve yapı açısından incelendiğinde Türkçeye muazzam bir katkıda bulunduğu görülmektedir.
The human being has been tending to measure the beings and objects in his life since the early ages. Images drawn on the cave walls, measurement attempts such as the chentic system, the moon and the sun’s movements have later left its place from the modern centuries to the measurement units that are connected and adopted by a common standard around the world. Nevertheless, the measurement units created by the anthropometric system, one of the two main methods that the human being adopted even in the early centuries, are now preserving its place as in the early ages. According to the anthropometry system, the human body experiences many of its measurements with these five sensory organs, and even sometimes uses various organs when reflecting these measurements in language. Measures by such organs have an important place in the language as a practice most frequently applied in today’s daily life. In our study in Turkish, a predictive measurement created according to the anthropometric system has been identified and tried to be classified in terms of meaning. In the Turkish language, two main ways are followed in the measurement units created through the human body: 1. Prognostic measurement units created by words that express directly the parts of the human body and the human body. 2nd The amount that these organs can take by means of performing some actions, this action has given the names. These two measurement units created in terms of meaning and structure are considered to have a huge contribution to Turkey.
