Bu araştırmada, mobil müzik uygulaması destekli müzik teorisi ve işitme eğitiminin, müzik öğretmeni adaylarının Batı Müziği Teorisi ve İşitme Eğitimi ders başarısına olan etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırma da nicel araştırma yöntemleri ve kontrol gruplu ön test– son test deneysel araştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın deneysel sürecinde destek amaçlı olarak My Ear Training mobil müzik uygulaması kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu deney ve kontrol gruplarına eşit olarak dağıtılan 26 müzik öğretmeni adayı oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın deney sürecinde; deney grubuna 8 hafta süre ile mobil müzik uygulaması destekli eğitim verilirken kontrol grubu rutin ders sürecine devam etmiştir. Araştırmanın ön test aşamasında ve deney süreci sonrasında yapılan son test aşamasında adayların başarısını ölçmek üzere müzik teorisi ve işitme eğitimi testi yapılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulguların analizinde nonparametrik istatistik testleri; Wilcoxon İşaretlenmiş Sıralar Testi ve Mann- Whitney U Testi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi neticesinde; mobil müzik uygulaması destekli müzik teorisi ve işitme eğitiminin müzik öğretmeni adaylarının ders başarısını arttırdığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
This study has studied the impact of music theory and hearing education supported by mobile music application on the success of the Western Music Theory and Hearing Education course of music teacher candidates. The research has also used quantitative research methods and control group pre-test-first test experimental research model. In the experimental process of this study, my Ear Training mobile music app was used for support purposes. The study group consisted of 26 candidate music teachers, equally distributed to experimental and control groups. In the experimental process of the study, the experimental group was given training supported by mobile music application for 8 weeks while the control group continued to the routine course. In the pre-test phase of the study and in the final test phase after the test process, the music theory and hearing training tests were conducted to measure the success of candidates. In the analysis of the findings obtained in the study, nonparametric statistical tests were used; Wilcoxon Signed sequence test and Mann-Whitney U test. As a result of the analysis of the data; the music theory supported by mobile music application and hearing education have achieved that music teacher candidates have increased their course success.
In this research, the effect of music theory and hearing education supported by mobile music application on the success of music teacher candidates in Western Music Theory and Hearing Education was examined. My Ear Training mobile music application was used as a support in the experimental process of this research. The study group of the research consisted of 26 music teacher candidates equally distributed to the experimental and control groups. In the experimental process of the research; While the experimental group was given education supported by mobile music application for 8 weeks, the control group continued the routine lesson process. In order to measure the success of the candidates in the pre-test phase of the research and in the post-test phase after the experiment process, music theory and hearing education tests were conducted. Nonparametric statistical tests in the analysis of the findings obtained in the research; Wilcoxon Marked Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U Test were used. As a result of the analysis of the data; It was concluded that music theory and hearing education supported by mobile music application increased the success of music teacher candidates.
