Abstract:

Objective: The well-knowledge of the distribution of mental illnesses in childhood is of great importance in terms of domination of regional differences and the development of necessary strategies. This study is aimed at evaluating the clinical data of the 6 year old child psychiatrist of our hospital and contributing to literature. Tools and Methods: Data on the gender and diagnosis of children and adolescents who have applied to children's psychiatric clinics between January 2012 and December 31, 2017 are scaned retrospectively through the hospital registration system. Results: In our study, 34,106 patients included 60,0 percent (n=20,469) were male and 40,0 percent (n=13,637) were angry. F90-activity and attention disorders (38.1%), F91 behavioral disorders (24.8%), F41 anxiety disorders (10.0%) and F32-depressive attacks (5.9%) were the most common diagnoses. The most frequently applied diagnoses in our study were F90-activity and attention disorder, F31 bipolar sensational disorder, F91 behavioral disorders, F28-non-organic psychotic disorders, and F42 obsessive compulsive disorder. Results: The results of our study have shown that, in a way that supports literature, more male sex in pediatric clinic applications and the most common diagnosis is F90-activity and attention disorder.
