Bu çalışmada, inşaat endüstrisinde başta hazır beton imalatlarında, mineral katkı maddelerinde ve yalıtım malzemeleri imalatında yaygın olarak kullanım alanları bulunan amorf silikanın, killi zeminlerin mühendislik özelliklerinin iyileştirilmesi üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla yüksek plastisiteli Eşen kili ve yüksek plastisiteli Sodyum Bentonit kiline %2 ve %10 oranlarında amorf silika ilave edilerek, kıvam limitleri, standart kompaksiyon, serbest basınç ve sabit hacimli şişme deneyleri yapılmıştır. Amorf silikanın iki farklı zemindeki etkisi değerlendirilmiştir. Amorf silikanın yüksek plastisiteli zeminlerde serbest basınç mukavemetini arttırmak için stabilizasyon malzemesi olarak kullanılabileceği belirlenmiştir.
In this study, the impact of amorphic silicone, which is widely used in the construction industry, primarily in the prepared concrete manufacturing, mineral additives and in the production of insulation materials, was studied on the improvement of the engineering characteristics of curved soils. For this purpose, the high plasticity Eşen kile and the high plasticity Sodium Bentonite kile were added with 2% and 10% amorphic silica, reduction limits, standard compression, free pressure and fixed volume swelling tests were conducted. The effect of Amorf silicone on two different soils has been assessed. Amorf silicone has been determined to be used as a stabilization material to increase the freedom of pressure strength in high plasticity soils.
In this study, the effect of Amorphous Silica, which is widely used in the construction industry, especially in the production of ready-mixed concrete, mineral additives and insulation materials, on improving the engineering properties of clayey soils was investigated. For this purpose, 2% and 10% amorphous silica has added to high plasticity Eşen and Sodium Bentonite clays and then the consistency limits, standard compaction, unconfined pressure and constant volume swelling tests were performed. The effect of amorphous silica on two different soils was evaluated. It has been determined that Amorphous Silica can be used as a stabilizing material to increase the unconfined compressive strength in high plasticity soils.
