The study idea includes the possibility of using solar energy to provide energy for heating a house in the city of Warsaw by examining the solar systems available on the market and simulating their performance and comparing them based on the production volume with the cost and their appropriateness to the climatic conditions of the study area and to determine the best way of installing the solar panels by calculating the optimal tilt and azimuth angles. The work methodology for designing a suitable solar system went in two directions; the first is using a solar thermal collector in direct heat generation; while the second is using photovoltaic panels to generate electricity to heat water by a water heater. Then monitor the impact of the conversion to the use of solar energy in terms of the efficiency and ability of this system to produce energy according to the climatic conditions of the study area and the economic feasibility, knowing the financial returns of this conversion versus costs of the traditional heating methods, and the environmental impact and contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. All results were obtained through simulation work in RETScreen and PVGIS software. The results showed that the contribution to the heating demand was 40% from solar thermal collectors and 43% from photovoltaic panels.<
