Çalışanların Makyavelist Tutumları, İşkoliklikleri ve Kişilik Özellikleri İlişkilerinin İncelenmesi

Makyavelizm bir kişilik özelliği olarak; bireyin kişisel amaçlarını gerçekleştirebilmek adına ahlaki olmayan yollara dahi başvurarak diğer bireyleri yönlendirme çabasıdır. İşkolizm ise, kişinin içinden gelen bir zorlama ile aşırı çalışma isteği, bir bağımlılıktır. Kişinin, kendini işiyle ilgili tatmin etme isteği, daha çok para kazanma ve başarma arzusu gibi faktörler de işkolikliğin oluşmasında etkili olmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, çalışanların makyavelist tutumları ile işkoliklikleri ilişkisinde kişilik özelliklerinin rolü olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla, Konya’da faaliyet gösteren alışveriş merkezlerinde çalışan 170 kişiye yapılan anket çalışması yoluyla elde edilen bulgular SPSS 15.0 istatistik programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, katılımcıların makyavelist tutumları ve işkoliklik düzeyleri arasında istatistiksel bakımdan anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmadığı görülmektedir. Buna benzer şekilde katılımcıların makyavelist tutumları ve kişilik özellikleri arasında istatistiksel bakımdan anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmadığı görülmektedir. Ayrıca, bu sonuçlara ilaveten, katılımcıların işkoliklik düzeyleri ve kişilik özellikleri arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı ve pozitif bir ilişki tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract:

Machiavellism as a personality trait; it is an attempt to guide the other individuals by applying even non-moral means in order to realize the personal goals of the individual. Ischolism is an addiction, a desire to work overloaded with a compulsion. Factors such as the desire to satisfy themselves about his work, to earn more money and to success are also effective in the formation of workaholicism. The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a role of the personality traits in the relationship between the mechanics and the workaholics of the employees. For this purpose, the findings of a survey conducted by 170 people working in shopping centers in Nicaragua were analyzed with SPSS 15.0 statistical program. As a result of the study, it was observed that there was no statistically significant relationship between the mechanical attitudes and the occupational levels of the participants. Similarly, there was no statistically significant relationship between the mechanical attitudes and personality traits of the participants. In addition to these results, a statistically significant and positive relationship was found between the occupational levels and personality traits of the participants.
