Abstract:

Bu çalışmada okuma yazmayı öğrenmiş ancak okuduğunu anlama ve yorumlama becerisi henüz tam olarak gelişmemiş ilkokul birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin okuduğunu anlama ve yorumlama becerilerinin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışma eylem araştırması modeli ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Ege bölgesindeki bir şehirde öğrenim gören 22 birinci sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Öğrencilere okuma anlama becerisini geliştirmek için istasyon tekniği uygulanmış ve uygulama sürecinde günlükler ve öğrenci odak grup görüşmeleri ile veriler toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin etkinlikleri sevdikleri ve mutlu oldukları, okuma konusunda isteksiz davranan öğrencilerin de farklı istasyonlarda farklı etkinlikler yapma düşüncesi ile daha istekli hale geldikleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca teknik sayesinde öğrencilerin derse karşı ilgileri artmış istasyonlarda farklı etkinlikler yaparak daha fazla düşünerek okudukları metni anladıklarını fark etmişlerdir.

Abstract:

This study aims to develop reading comprehension and interpretation skills of primary school first grade sThis study aims to develop reading comprehension and interpretation skills of primary school first grade students who have learned to read and write but whose reading comprehension and interpretation skills have not yet fully developed. For this purpose, the study was carried out with the action research model. The station technique was used to improve the reading comprehension and interpretation skills of primary school first grade students. The study group of the research consists of 22 first-year students studying in a city in the Aegean region. The station technique was applied to the students to improve their reading comprehension skills and data were collected through diaries and student focus group interviews during the application process. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the students liked the activities and were happy, and the students who were reluctant to read became more willing to do different activities at different stations. In addition, they realized that they understood the text they read by thinking more by doing different activities at the stations, which increased the students' interest in the lesson with the station technique.
