Abstract:

Purpose: This study, which is a defining type, was carried out with the aim of evaluating some variables associated with the perception of the organizational communication climate of the public university and staff in their hospitals in a province. Tools and Methods: The research sample consisted of a total of 1143 employees working in a state public university in a province and 446 volunteers who participated in the research. The research data was collected between 20 June 2022 and 23 December 2022, using the face-to-face interview technique at the workplace of employees. The research data was collected using the "anchest form" and the "organic communication climate scale". In the analysis of the obtained data, the number, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test in independent groups, Kruskal Wallis and Anova tests were used. Results and Results: The average age of employees is 36.84±8.13, 52% of them are university and 48% are working in hospitals. The organizational communication climate perceptions of employees were positive but not high. The perceptions of the staff's organizational communication climate were significantly different from the level of learning, the institution studied, the work experience and their professions and this difference was statistically meaningful (p<0.05). According to the findings obtained in the study, those with pre-graduate studies, those with a work experience of 4 years or less, the organizational communication climate perception of doctors, nurses, parents, health officers and health technicians compared to the officers of the university’s academic staff was significantly higher.
