Abstract:

The ways and measures of women’s participation in economic life and their benefit from social and economic development are not properly proportionate. In this regard, women in disadvantaged sections of society are among the most exposed to unemployment risk groups. Women’s employment, which is one of the key criteria for the country’s level of development, is one of the key aspects of social transformation in the context of gender equality, as it plays a key role in sustainable development. The projects carried out by civil society organizations (CIV) aimed at increasing employment for women, which make up about half of the country’s population, generate positive results. We can define civil society organizations, which are the indispensable element of democratic societies, as a kind of organization that is voluntary and a kind of organization aimed at creating a public agenda and influencing political will to protect the interests of society without any expectation of interest. NGOs aimed at finding effective and long-term solutions to social problems are in an effort to eradicate discrimination and inequality that women are exposed to in the labour market as well as in education, culture and social life. In the study, social responsibility projects carried out by NGOs with the aim of creating awareness about the provision of women’s employment in our country are examined by the content analysis method.
