Abstract:

The Qur’an has been a source of interest for every man since the time that the Qur’an has been inserted by Allah. The Qur’an in Arabic is translated into many languages of the world. It is now a subject of investigation for everyone. It was one of the most important research subjects in the Middle Ages. The efforts of the Russians, both Western Europe and its Muslim countries, to try to know the Qur’an closely, have become a necessity first and foremost. Because Russia’s geography is limited to Muslim countries from the east and south. Although the work of the Qur’an in the western geography appears to be at first centered in Europe, it has also been discussed by Russian researchers over time. In Russia, one of the famous scientists known for his Arabic language and literature, his scientific work on the Russian Quran, is Ignatij Julianovich Krackovskij. This study was prepared on Krackovsky's article entitled "En-Necm". The goal of our research is to evaluate Krackovsky’s article and to approach the subject by ethymological method by studying the concept of “Necm” in the Qur’an from the dictionaries. In this framework, the article consists of two dimensions. In the first dimension, Krackovsky’s life and works were discussed, the Mustechrick’s Qur’an works in Russia. In the second dimension, the concept of "Necm" was focused and the article of Krackovsky was evaluated. The assessment of the sources was made. The Turkish translation of the article "En-Necm" has been added.
