Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli XIII. yüzyılda yaşamış ve Türk tasavvuf tarihini derinden etkilemiş önemli sûfî şahsiyetlerden birisidir. Bektaşilik, XV. yüzyıldan itibaren müesseseleşerek Türkiye tarihine derin etkileri olan bir tarikattır. Tasavvuf düşüncesi kendine has bir takım esas ve kaideler geliştirerek tarikatlar şeklinde yapılanması sürecinde uygulanan esas ve kaidelere erkân ya da adap ve erkân gibi adlar verilmektedir. Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli’nin yaşantısını ve kerametlerini anlatarak onun adının geniş bir alana yayılmasına vesile olan mensur, manzum, mensur-manzûm karışık yazılmış Vilâyetnâme adı verilen eserlerdir. Gerek bu eser gerekse Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli’nin diğer önemli halifeleri adına yazılmış menâkıbnâme kitapları Bektaşiliğin tarikat olarak müesseseleşme sürecinde tarikat adap ve erkânın oluşmasının en önemli kaynakları arasındadır. Bu çalışmada amaç Manzûm Vilâyetnâme’de geçen erkânı kılık kıyafet, çihâr-ı darb, çile, seyâhat, cerr ve mücerretlik başlıkları altında tespitini yapmaktır. Çalışmanın modeli nitel araştırma deseninden betimsel tarama yöntemiyle yapılmıştır. Bu yöntem doğrultusunda metnin analizinden Bektaşiliğin adap ve erkânının Vilâyetnâme kaynaklı olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
