Ebûbekir Muhammed İbnü’l-Velîd et-Turtûşî 451 h. / 1059 m. yılında Turtûşa’da doğdu, Endülüs’ten çıkıp Bağdat, Şam ve Kudüs’e uzandı, 520 h. / 1127 m. yılında İskenderiye’de vefat etti. Sirâcu’l-mülûk, Turtûşî’nin birçok yönünü ortaya koyan siyâset ve ahlak eksenli eseridir. Bu araştırmada kısaca, Turtûşî ve onun Sirâc adlı eserine değinilmiş; Ortaçağ İslâm dünyasına özgü bir siyâsî realizm cereyanı olup olmadığı tartışılarak Turtûşî’nin bu fikrî cereyan içindeki konumu masaya yatırılmıştır. Ayrıca, İbn Haldûn’un Turtûşî’ye verdiği tepkiler de ele alınmıştır.
Abûbekir Muhammad Ibn al-Velîd et-Turtûşî was born in Turtûşah in 451 h. / 1059 m., went out of Endulus and extended to Baghdad, Damascus and Jerusalem, died in Alexandria in 520 h. / 1127 m. It is the greatest and most famous of the world, and the greatest and most famous of the world, and the greatest of the world. Abûbakr Muhammad Ibn al-Walîd al-Turtûshî was born in Tortossa of Andalusia in 451 H / 1059 AD. He was a Mâlikî scholar, a poet of lyrical verses, and a thinker on ethics and politics. He traveled from the “West” i.e. Andalusia, to the “East” of Arabian countries and died in 520 H / 1126 AD in Alexandria. The first part of this research is about al-Turtûshî and Sirâj al-mulûk. Then, I discuss whether there was an intellectual movement of political realism specific to the medieval Muslim world, and the question on al-Turtûshî’is position in this movement. In addition, I examined the reactions of Ibn Khaldûn to al-Turtûshî.
