AMAÇ: Bu çalışmada %0.025’lik ketotifen fumaratın mevsimsel allerjik konjonktivit tedavisinde etkinliğinin araştırılması amaçlandı. Çalışmamıza alerjik konjonktiviti olan rasgele seçilen 30 hasta (9 erkek, 21 kadın; ort. yaş 27.86 yıl; dağılım 9–56) alındı. Prospektif olarak yapılan çalışmada ketotifen fumarat %0.025’in alerjik konjonktivit belirtileri ve muayene bulguları üzerine etkinliği değerlendirildi. İlaç günde iki kez topikal olarak uygulandı. Belirtiler ve muayene bulguları ketotifen fumarat %0.025 başlanmadan ve başlandıktan sonraki 1., 7. ve 21. günlerde derecelendirilerek değerlendirildi. Belirtilerden (hastalar sorgulanarak) kaşıntı ve sulanma, muayene bulgularından konjonktiva hiperemisi, konjonktiva kemozisi, kapak ödemi, mukus sekresyonu skorlandı. Ketotifen fumarat %0.025 verilen 30 hastanın 18’inde (%60) allerjik konjonktivite bağlı kaşıntı ve sulanma şikâyetlerinin 1. günde hızlı bir şekilde azaldığı, 7. günde 22’sinde (%73) ve 21. günde 28’inde (%93) kaşıntı ve sulanma şikâyetlerinin anlamlı şekilde azaldığı, konjonktiva hiperemisi, kemozis, mukus sekresyonu ve kapak ödeminin azalarak ilacın etkinliğini uzun süre devam ettirdiği saptandı. Ketotifen fumarat %0.025’in hızlı etkisi ve uzun süreli rahatlama sağlaması nedeniyle alerjik konjonktivitte tercih edilebilir bir ilaç olduğu sonucuna varıldı. YÖNTEMLER: BULGULAR: SONUÇ:
This study was aimed at investigating the effectiveness of 0,025% ketotifene fumarat in the treatment of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. 30 patients randomly selected with allergic conjunctivity (9 men, 21 women; ort. Age 27.86 years; distribution 9-56 was taken. In a prospective study, the effectiveness of 0,025% of ketotifen fumarat was assessed on symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis and examination findings. The drug was applied topically twice a day. Symptoms and test findings were assessed by rating of 0,025% before and in the 1st, 7th and 21st days after the start of ketotifen fumarat. Symptoms (patients questioned) swelling and irrigation, conjunctive hyperemia, conjunctive chemosis, cover swelling, mucous secretion from the examination findings were scored. Ketotifen fumarat is 0. It was found that in 18 of the 30 patients given 025 (60%) allergic conjunctivity-related swelling and irrigation complaints rapidly decreased in the 1st day, in the 7th day 22 (73) and in the 21st day 28 (93) swelling and irrigation complaints significantly decreased, conjunctival hyperemia, chemosis, mucous secretion and coverage reduced, the drug’s effectiveness continued for a long time. Ketotifen fumarat was found to be a preferable drug for allergic conjunctivitis due to its rapid effect and long-term relaxation of 0.025%. Methods: Bulgarians: Results:
