The author tries to study, understand and understand the Islamic sociology in the sociology of Baykan Sezer, which is described as a native sociologist in his article. It can be said that Sezer is a sociologist who tries to build a sociology that is unique to Turkey with his indigenous sociology understanding and the religion is also approaching in accordance with his respective sociology understanding. One of Sezer’s most important research problems is religion as a social fact. According to Caesar, religion, societies and social reality are one of the most important elements of understanding correctly. Caesar’s point of view is that this is because it is an expression of religion, societies and social life. As it is clear, in the sociology of Caesar, religion acquires existence as the identity of society and finds the body as the means of the differentiation of societies from each other. In this case, in the Islamic sociology of Caesar, Islamic religion is an expression of the identity of Muslim communities, their differences and differences from other communities. In this framework, Caesar talks about Western sociology and Turkish sociology and Turkish religious sociology. As Christianity is effective in Western sociology in the sociological approach of the sociologist Sezer, Islam must also be effective in Turkish sociology.
