Abstract:

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between parents and children of the 5-6-year-old groups that continue to pre-school education with the forms of connection of children. Relative scanning models have been used in the research. The sample of the study consists of 51 children and their parents, 5-6 years of age, who continue to attend school institutions selected through easy-to-access sample located in the center of the province of Kütahya in the 2017-2018 educational year. This study used the subdimensions of communication, discipline, autonomy and participation included in the parent's child relationship inventory that parents respond to in order to separate the parents' relations with each other and their children. Finally, the scale 'Cassidy Unfinished Toy Baby Family Stories' was applied by the researcher for approximately twenty minutes to each child in order to measure the connectivity styles of children. In the dimensions of communication, discipline, autonomy and participation that the mother, the child’s gender, age and mother’s age have not been significantly differentiated. Parents with six-year-old children have a higher self-sufficiency ratio than those with five-year-old children. With regard to the results of the research, it has been found that the points that safe-linked children receive from these lower dimensions in both mothers and fathers are significantly higher.
