The literary creations of the peoples that feed on their own communities' traditions, traditions and cultures form a national literature while the general framework of the literary works of all peoples of the world is welcomed by the concept of world literature. In the Turkish national education system, the course in which students at the level of secondary education can learn the world literature is the course of Turkish language and literature. From this point of view, this study is based on the structural teaching approach prepared in the recent period of Turkish language and literature courses in the teaching programs to study how and how world literature is included. The research was carried out under the model of the state study and the data related to world literature included in the curricula prepared in 2005, 2011, 2015, 2017 and 2018 were analyzed and evaluated using the visual analysis technique. The 2005 and 2011 programmes contain data that can be linked to world literature in the fields of purpose, text selection and achievement, but the world literature teaching is limited and superficial, and the Turkish literature is influenced by the type, content and mentality in the direction of achievements and activities towards Western literature. With the transition to text and type-centered planning in the 2015 and subsequent programmes, a more concrete and planned arrangement in the point of placing text from world literature to text in certain types is concerned. In the 2015 program, the texts from world literature are in the type of fairy tale/fabl, fairy tale/fiction, novel, experimentation and narrative. According to this plan, the program will include 6 literary texts from 5 types of text from world literature, while in 2017 and 2018 the program will include poems, theaters, letters/e-mails, and stories, and a total of 9 different types of 10 texts. Although the examined programmes have seen a quantitative and qualitative development in the teaching of world literature over time, the programmes include the teaching of world literature not with an art education approach, but with the aim of showing how Turkish literature influences the tradition through comparative text studies.
