Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to study the scores of athletics of primary school 5th grade students according to some variables. The study’s work group in the Erzurum province center in the 2011-2012 educational year educated 270 girls, 301 men and a total of 571 primary school 5th grade students. The research used the scale of scalability developed by Topukçu (1982) as a data collection tool and the "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher. In the analysis of the data, independent groups of t tests were used. The study found that students’ athletics scores varied significantly according to some variables (the fact that they have a non-party family, the fact that the number of students in the class is small, the fact that they have a close friend, the fact that they have a close friend, and the fact that they do not participate in social activities). According to the results of the study, the students’ scores of excellence are academically successful and not significantly different.
