This study aims to compare the interventions, technical and tactical, made by the finalists goalkeepers in the World Cup 2014, during the knockout stages in order to compare both goalkeepers of the two teams that made to the final (Germany and Argentina) against each other as well against other opponents, besides checking the average of the goalkeepers actions were observed for understanding of the position itself. The project divided the actions of goalkeepers in: offensive and defensive actions and the earlier interventions of the goalkeepers, provided by the opponents and teammates. The Results were: a) to understand the goalkeeper position considering the average by 43.3% of the actions, with 79% of offensive actions and 21% of defensive actions; b) comparison between goalkeeper has a higher number of actions per game, and passing using the feet is the most action used, pointing that the Argentine goalkeeper had a lowest number of actions comparing with other adversaries and a higher use of launching. It follows that the German goalkeeper was more effective in his actions, but missed more often than the argentine goalkeeper, whose failed to choose launching as his main technique of putting the ball back in the game.
