Sovyetler Birliği'nde bireylerin günlük hayatta spor ile iç içe bir yaşam sürmesi istenmektedir. Bu amaçla ülkenin kurulduğu ilk yıllardan itibaren Sovyetler Birliği halklarına yönelik sporu teşvik eden propaganda faaliyetleri yürütülmektedir. Sovyetler Birliği'nde yapılan spor propagandasında tüm kitlelerin katılımını arttıracak poster çalışmaları yürütülmekteydi. Sovyetler Birliği tarafından kullanılan bu posterler spor propagandası tarihi açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada Sovyetler Birliği döneminde özellikle Soğuk Savaş’ın yoğunlaşması öncesinde, sporun kitlelere teşvik edilmesinde posterlerin propaganda amacı ile kullanılışı ele alınmıştır. Söz konusu eksende çalışma kapsamında tipik durum örneklemi kullanılarak çalışmanın evrenini en iyi yansıtacağı düşünülen on propaganda posteri, nitel araştırma yöntemleri içerisinde yer alan göstergebilimsel analiz metodu kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmada belirlenen propaganda posterleri Fransız dilbilimci Roland Barthes'ın göstergebilim anlayışı üzerinden analiz etmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen bulgularla, Sovyetler Birliği iktidarının posterler üzerinden sporun günlük hayatın zorunlu bir parçası olarak algılanmasını sağlayacak mitler inşa etmeye çalıştığı ortaya konmuştur.
In the Soviet Union, individuals are required to live an internal life with sport in their daily lives. For this purpose, since the first years of the country’s establishment, propaganda activities that encourage sport towards the Soviet peoples have been carried out. In the sports propaganda in the Soviet Union, poster works were carried out to increase the participation of all the masses. These posters used by the Soviet Union are of great importance in the history of sports propaganda. In this study, in the period of the Soviet Union, especially before the Cold War's concentration, the use of posters for propaganda purposes in the promotion of sport to the crowds was discussed. Ten propaganda posters, which are considered to best reflect the universe by using the typical state sample in the framework of the study in the respective axis, have been studied using the indicative analysis method included in the quality research methods. The propaganda posters identified in the study were analyzed by the French linguist Roland Barthes’ understanding of the indicative. The findings found that the Soviet authorities were trying to build myths that would allow sports to be perceived as an obligatory part of everyday life through the poster.
The Individuals are encourage to lead a life in sport in daily life in the Soviet Union. For this purpose, propaganda activities that encourage sport for the people of the Soviet Union were made since the first years of the country's establishment. In the propaganda campaign in the Soviet Union, posters were used to increase the participation of all the masses to do sports. These posters used by the Soviet Union had a great importance for the history of sports propaganda. In this study, the use of the posters with the purpose of propaganda in encouraging the sport to the masses was examined before the intensification of the Cold War in the Soviet Union period. In this study, ten propaganda posters, which are thought to reflect the best of the universe and selected by using the typical case study within the scope of the study, were analyzed by use of semiotic analysis method in qualitative research methods. The propaganda posters determined in the study were examined in the light of French linguist Roland Barthes' semiotics concepts. With the findings of the study, it was revealed that the Soviet Union tried to build myths that the sport was perceived as a necessary part of daily life through posters.
