Abstract:

Taqwa means endeavoring to fulfill all the commands of Allah and abstain from the prohibited things. Initially, the believers have a taqwa in their behaviours start practicing it for the hope of heaven or the fear of hell so, they avoid all that Allah has forbidden. It’s necessary to have a taqwa in heart to be a real muslim(believer). Without having faith in Allah, the behaviours cannot be considered as having taqwa. The believer who lives as he believes will show his true Muslim character with this consistence. Among the properities that shape the characteristics of believers who have a taqwa in their heart are worshiping, avoiding what is forbidden, being patient, being calm, forgiving, repenting and not insisting on sins. The consistency of worship helps to shape the characteristics of the muslim. Our worship rituals help us to be a perfect muslim. It is stated in both Quran and Sunnah how to be a Muttaqi. Taqwa is an attitude that one adopts about Allah’s teachings, that’s why Allah ordered to have a taqwa. Adopting taqwa as an attitude forms the characteristic personality of a muslim, protects him and makes him a perfect human being. This gets him to the promised Paradise.
