Bu çalışmada, OMÜ İlahiyat Fakültesi öğrencilerinin “Hitabet ve Mesleki Uygulama” dersleri müfredatına ilişkin görüşleri incelenmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı, ilahiyat fakültelerinde okutulan “Hitabet ve Meslekî Uygulama (HMU)” derslerinin önemini vurgulamak, öğrenci görüşlerine istinaden bu dersin etkilerini, dersle ilgili yapısal ve işlevsel sorunlarını tespit etmek ve bu sorunlara çözüm önerileri sunmaktır. Çalışma ayrıca HMU derslerini eğitim bilimlerinin sistematiği içeri-sinde inceleyerek kaliteyi artırmada faydalı olabilecek önerilerde bulunmayı da amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın temel problemini, “HMU derslerinin içeriği, hedefleri ve etkililiği konusunda öğrencilerin görüşleri ve önerileri nelerdir?” sorusu oluştur-maktadır. Çalışmada bu temel problem ekseninde alt sorulara da cevap aranmaktadır. Çalışmada nicel araştırma türlerinden tarama (survey) modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen anket formu ile elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde nonparametrik testlerden tek örneklem tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın temel ve alt problemlerinin çözümü adına ilk önce HMU derslerinin içeriği incelenmiş, daha sonra da alan araştırmasına dayalı olarak katılımcıların görüşleri doğrultusunda bu derslerin etkililiği tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, HMU derslerinin haftalık ders saati ve müfredatının yeterli, bu dersler kapsamındaki ezber çalışmaları ile meslekî uygulamaların gerekli olduğunu göstermiştir.
In this study, the views of OMU Faculty of Theology students about the “Oratory and Professional Practice” course curriculum are examined. The aim of the research is to emphasize the importance of the “Oratory and Professional Practice (HMU)” courses taught in faculties of theology, to determine the effects of this course, the structural and functional problems of the course, and to offer solutions to these problems based on student opinions. The study also aims to make suggestions that can be useful in increasing the quality by examining the HMU courses within the systematic of educational sciences. The main problem of the research is “What are the students’ opinions and suggestions about the content, objectives and effectiveness of HMU courses?” poses a question. In the study, answers to the sub-questions are sought in the axis of this basic problem. Survey model, one of the quantitative research types, was used in the study. The data of the study were obtained by the questionnaire form developed by the researchers. In the analysis of the data, a single sampling technique, one of the nonparametric tests, was used. In order to solve the main and sub-problems of the research, firstly the content of the HMU courses was examined, and then, based on the field research, the effectiveness of these courses was tried to be determined in line with the opinions of the participants. The results showed that the weekly course hours and curriculum of the HMU courses are sufficient, and the memorization and professional practices within the scope of these courses are necessary.
