Abstract:

In the article the metaphoric dynamics of the puberty in the context of Basat-Tepegoz confrontation in the epos “The Book of Dede Gorgud” is studied. As a result of the investigation it is known that in the process of meeting with Tepegoz the self-affirmation of Basat goes on the line of gradual development and this development ends with his affirmation as Alp. Besides it, it is also known that Basat introduces the force of his father’s kin, but Tepegoz presents his mother’s kin. That is why in their confrontation context the family of father and mother, the confrontation levels between the woman and man sphere also become urgent. As a result of the analysis of the metaphorical language of the corresponding part of the epos, it is found out that,unlike Basat, Tepegoz shows itself as the metaphoric representative of the main sphere preventing form the puberty and self-dependence of the heroes. According to the result of the analysis of the structure and metaphoric language of the part it is determined that Basat is the hero who passed from the female sphere to the male environment, but Tepegoz is the hero passing from the male environment to the female sphere. All these activity facts are expressed in the epos from the situation of the men.
