Abstract:

This study has been written to emphasize the necessity of developing sustainable togetherness practices for millions of displaced people due to the compelling effects of many variables such as war, famine, and climate change. In connection with this main concern of the study, Baumanian thought is taken as the theoretical background. This is because, in terms of Baumanian thought, investigating the possibilities of living together without being allergic to the other in a world that has reached the limits of its capacity is one of the most fundamental issues. By evaluating the theoretical possibilities offered by Baumannian thought, the study concludes that developing sustainable togetherness practices with migrants today is not only a matter of moral responsibility but also a practical need. So much so that whether we want to or not, sharing our living spaces with strangers such as migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers is an inevitable reality of our age.
