Abstract:

This article is based on the information of the research conducted within the scope of the PhD thesis. 22 people, who art worker in the cultural and creative industries were interviewed within the scope of the research. The texts obtained from the interviews were analyzed using a grounded theory research strategy. The interviewers were asked about the process of starting art production in the first place. In this context, it has been seen that the factors that affect art worker the most are their families and teachers. Apart from these two factors, it has been observed that factors such as the social environment in which they grew up, artists, and various popular culture products are also effective in the beginning of art production by art workers. Art workers have revealed their motivation to start their production in two ways: internal impulse and family influence. Five elements were identified in the attitudes of families: not being supported, being supported by some members of the family, being ignored, being supported conditionally or in the process, and unconditional support. In pre-high school education, two factors were mostly seen as being supported and not supported.
