Abstract:

Creating a reasonable and harmonious environment in language classes for education in a peaceful environment is an important step. Multilingual and multicultural language education has been promoted by the European Council and the Common Framework Programme for European Languages (CEFR), which entered into force in 2001. The aim of this study is to explore the differences in the elements of peace and peace education in English courses in Turkey. To study the elements of peace-threatening, a documentary analysis included the activities of the 7th class, the curriculum and the curriculum was carried out. In order to provide additional data to the document analysis, a key person was interviewed with the English teacher and 10 students from 7th grade. The content analysis of these interviews has ended up with three main topics, such as knowledge, motivation and culture/link. According to the results, a model of peace education for English classes as a foreign language was proposed. Keywords: Peace Education; CEFR; Content Analysis; English courses; Qualitative Research.
