Bu çalışma, okul öncesi dönemde çocukların teknolojik araç kullanımı ve ailelerin bu araçların kullanımını sınırlandırmada kullandığı stratejileri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tarama modelinin kullanıldığı bu çalışmanın örneklemi uygunluk örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilmiş 280 veliden oluşmaktadır. Veriler on adet açık uçlu sorudan oluşan yazılı görüşme formu ile toplanmış ve betimsel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, ebeveynlerin büyük bölümünün çocuklarının teknolojik araçları tek başına kullanmalarına izin verdiğini, birlikte kullandıkları zaman ise kullanılan uygulamanın çocuğun yaş ve gelişim özelliklerine uygun olmasına, uzun süreli kullanmamaya ve şiddet, argo içermemesine dikkat ettiklerini göstermektedir. Çalışmada ebeveynlerin önemli bir oranının çocuklarının oynadıkları oyunları ve girdikleri internet sitelerini takip ettiği ve aile bireyleri ve öğretmenlerin çocukları teknolojik araçların zararlarından korumak için yardımcı olabilecek başlıca kişiler olarak düşünüldüğü belirlenmiştir. Yine ebeveynlerin büyük bölümünün teknolojik araç kullanımında süre sınırlaması yaptıkları, kullanıma izin vermeme ya da oyun, kitap okuma, boyama gibi farklı etkinliklere yönelterek sınırlama getirmeye çalıştıkları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca ebeveynlerin teknolojik araçları ödül olarak kullandıkları, çocuklar teknolojik araç kullanımında sınırlamaya tepki gösterdiğinde ise konuşup zararlarını anlatmak, ceza vermek ve kızmak gibi yollar kullandıkları tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra, çocuklarına doğru model olmak için ise, teknolojik araçların nasıl doğru ve gerektiğinde kullanılmasının önemini anlatma, çocuğun yanında kullanmama gibi stratejiler izledikleri çalışmanın diğer bulguları arasındadır. Sonuç olarak elde edilen bulgular çocuk gelişimi açısından tartışılmıştır.
This study was conducted to identify the strategies children used in the pre-school period to limit the use of technological vehicles and the families to limit the use of these vehicles. The sample of this study, which is used for the scan model, consists of 280 guests selected using the conformity sample method. The data was collected in a written interview form consisting of ten open end questions and analyzed in a visual way. The findings show that the majority of parents allow their children to use technological tools alone, and when they use them together, they take care that the app is in accordance with the child’s age and developmental characteristics, not to use for a long term and not to contain violence, argo. The study found that a significant percentage of parents follow their children’s games and websites they enter, and that family members and teachers are considered the main persons who can help protect their children from the damage of technological tools. Again, it has been determined that the majority of parents have made time limitations in the use of technological vehicles, do not allow for use or attempt to bring restrictions to different activities such as games, reading books, painting. It has also been found that parents use technological vehicles as a reward, and when children react to restrictions on the use of technological vehicles, they use ways such as talking and telling about their damages, punishing and anger. In addition, to be the right model for their children, it is among the other findings of the study that they follow strategies such as telling them how and when necessary to use technological tools, and not to use them alongside the child. The findings obtained as a result were discussed in terms of child development.
