Bilim ve Sanat merkezleri işleyiş bakımından özel yetenek ve genel yetenek olmak üzere ikiye ayrılmaktadır. Özel yetenek alanları kendi içerisinde görsel sanatlar ve müzik alanı olarak ayrılmaktadır. Bu çalışmaya konu, müzik alanı öğrencileri olacaktır. Bilim ve sanat merkezleri öğrenci seçimlerinde özel testler ve mülakatlar uygulamaktadır. Bu testler sonucunda bakanlık tarafından üstün yetenekli ve üstün zekâlı olarak tanımlanan öğrenciler, bu okullarda öğrenim görmeye hak kazanmaktadır. Bu denli yetenekli ve zeki çocuklar gelecekte bazı sebeplerden ötürü müzik alanını meslek olarak tercih etmeyi düşünmemektedir. Bu çalışma ile bilim ve sanat merkezi müzik alanı öğrencilerinin gelecek dönem meslek tercihlerinin sebep ve sonuçları incelenmiştir. Araştırma Sivas Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi özel yetenek müzik alanı öğrencileri üzerinden yürütülmüştür.
Science and Art centers are divided into two as special talent and general talent in terms of operation. Special talent areas are divided into visual arts and music. The subject of this study will be music students. Science and art centers apply special tests and interviews in student selection. As a result of these tests, students who are defined as gifted and gifted by the ministry are entitled to study in these schools. Such talented and intelligent children do not think of choosing music as a profession for some reasons in the future. In this study, the reasons and results of the future career choices of science and art center music students were examined. The research was carried out on Sivas Science and Art Center special talent music students.
