Abstract:

Aim: The purpose of this research is to examine the movie The Good Nurse within the framework of intensive care nursing. Methods: This study is a qualitative research and was conducted using document analysis. The data of this qualitative research was obtained by watching the movie 'Good Nurse'. Scenes in the movie were interpreted with the descriptive content analysis method in line with the literature. In this context, it was discussed whether the scene analyzes support the information obtained from the literature. Findings: As a result of watching the movie, it was determined that there were scenes in the intensive care unit showing the working conditions and characteristics of intensive care nurses. Conclusion: Based on the data obtained, it can be said that the film gives many correct messages in terms of the duties, authorities and responsibilities of intensive care nurses, but does not give clear messages in terms of the patient's relatives entering and exiting the intensive care unit, the communication between the doctor and the nurse prioritizing the patient, and the multidisciplinary working environment.
