Bu araştırma, devlet okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin politik becerileri ile liderlik stilleri arasındaki ilişkiyi ve okul müdürlerinin politik becerilerinin, liderlik stillerini yordayıp yordamadığını incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma modellerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Tekirdağ İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı farklı türlerdeki devlet okulları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi belirlenirken küme örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya gönüllü olarak 593öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırmada Bilgi Formu, Okul Müdürleri Liderlik Stilleri Ölçeği ve Politik Beceriler Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde t-Testi, ANOVA, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda öğretmen algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin liderlik stilleri “dönüşümcü lider’’ olarak tespit edilirken,okul müdürlerinin algılanan politik beceri düzeyi “ortalamanın üzerinde’’ çıkmıştır. Okul müdürlerinin liderlik stilleri öğretmenlerin cinsiyetlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken kıdem ve okul türü değişkenine göre gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Okul müdürlerinin öğretmenler tarafından algılanan politik beceriler öğretmenlerin cinsiyetlerine, kıdemlerine ve görev yaptıkları okul türlerine göre gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Okul müdürlerinin liderlik stilleri ile politik becerileri arasında ise anlamlı ilişki saptanmıştır. Okul müdürlerinin öğretmenler tarafından algılanan politik becerileri, müdürlerin liderlik stillerini yordadığı da tespit edilmiştir.
According to the perceptions of teachers in public schools, this study aims to study the relationship between the political skills of the school managers and the leadership styles, and whether the political skills of the school managers and the leadership styles can be understood. Relative scanning models from quantum research models were used in the research. The study was conducted in the 2017-2018 educational year. The examples of the research are formed by different types of state schools associated with Tekirdağ Provincial Education Directorate. The method of sampling was used when determining the study's sampling. 593 teachers participated in the study. The study used the Information Form, School Managers Leadership Styles Scale and Political Skills Scale. In the analysis of the data, t-Test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analyses were performed. According to the teachers’ perceptions, school managers’ leadership styles are identified as “transforming leaders”, while school managers’ political skill levels are “over the average.” While the leadership styles of school managers do not show significant differences according to the gender of teachers; there have been significant differences between groups according to the age and school type variables. The political skills of school managers perceived by teachers have found significant differences between groups depending on the gender, seniority and type of school in which they perform their duties. The relationship between the management styles and the political skills of the school managers has been established. The political skills of school managers perceived by teachers have also been identified as the managers undertake leadership styles.
