Abstract:

In the content analysis, it was determined how often candidates used these words through keywords containing populist elements. Furthermore, the app uses Twitonomy to measure the popularity of candidates through the three-month election campaign process and the number of re-sharing and the level of interaction of candidates. The study found that the elements of populism were also included in the speeches of both coalitions, but the major component of the Republican coalition, the AK party candidates, had more speeches in the populist tone.
