Şeyh Ali Arıncî (Solmaz), Cumhuriyet döneminde yetişmiş önemli âlim ve şeyhlerden biridir. 1916 yılında Siirt’in Baykan ilçesine bağlı Arınç köyünde doğan Ali Arıncî, medrese ve tasavvufî geleneği olan bir aile ortamında büyümüştür. Babası Ömer Efendi, Norşin dergâhı şeyhlerinden Muhammed Ziyâuddîn’e (ö.1924) bağlı idi. Babasının yanında başladığı medrese tahsilini bölgenin tanınmış âlimlerinin yanında tamamlayarak icazet alırken, tasavvufî eğitimini Şeyh Abdülhakîm Bilvânisî’nin (ö.1972) yanında tamamlayarak hilâfet almıştır. Arınç köyüne yakın bir yerde Tılfakîr isminde bir dergâh kurarak hayatının sonuna kadar ilim ve irşad hizmetleriyle uğraşmıştır. Edebiyat çevrelerinde, son dönem yazar ve şairlerinden M. Akif İnan’ın (ö. 2000) şeyhi olarak tanınmıştır. Akif İnan, ona bağlandıktan sonra özellikle şiirlerinde tasavvufî konu ve kavramlar ağırlık kazanmıştır. Şeyh Ali Arıncî, 1984 yılında vefat etmiştir.
