Abstract:

Accidents come at the forefront of preventable health problems in every age group, especially in childhood. Purpose: The study aims to provide the Injury Attitude Scale (YTÖ) to the Turkish language for school children. Method: It is a methodological study, and the sample was taken by the 8-12-year-old group of 400 students. The method of translation reflection for scale has been used, the scale validity index for content validity, the opening and verifying factor analysis for structure validity has been done. To test the scale reliability, the Cronbach alpha value, the total correlation of the substance was used. Results: The scope validity index for YTÖ is 1.00. According to the results of the opening factor analysis, the scale is determined to measure a three-dimensional structure, the reliability ratio and the substance test correlations are determined to be .75, the vulnerability/seriousness is .90 and the preventivity is .66. Verifying factor analysis indicates that the conformity index values indicate that the scale has a sufficient structure. Result: The wound attitude scale is a reliable and valid measurement tool for determining the attitudes of children in relation to the wound in the playground.
