Kıraat ilmi Kur’an’ın farklı okuma biçimlerini ve bunların kimlerden nakledildiğini incelemektedir. Söz konusu farklı okuma biçimleri zaman zaman ayetlerin anlamını değiştirmektedir. Özellikle hüküm istinbatı açısından fıkhın ilk başvuru kaynağı olan Kur’an için söz konusu olan bu farklı okumalar âlimlerce tartışmalara konu edilmiştir. Kıraat farklılıkları iki yönüyle fıkhın inceleme alanında yer almıştır. Birincisi Kur’an olarak kabul edilmesi noktasında üzerinde icma bulunmayan farklı kıraatlerin namazda okunma durumu ve bu okumaların namazın sıhhatine engel olup olmayacağıdır. İkincisi ise bu farklılıkların fıkhi açıdan delil olma ve hükme etkide bulunma durumudur. Fıkhi açıdan kıraatlerin kabul edilebilirliği büyük ölçüde bunların senedinin kuvvetli olma durumu dikkate alınarak makbul, tevakkuf edilen (hakkında karar verilmeyen) ve merdûd gibi kısımlara ayrılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile kıraat farklılıklarının fıkhi açıdan hükme tesir eden yönleri ve mezheplerin kıraat konusunda benimsedikleri usul ortaya konulmuştur. Bu bağlamda ana konu olan ibadetler ve kıraat farklılıklarının etkisi incelenmeden önce, fıkıh ve kıraat alanlarında kavramsal bir temel oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmada temizlik, namaz ve oruç, hac-umre ve kefâretler ile ilgili konularda var olan kıraat farklılıklarının hükme etkisi, mezheplerin yaklaşımları ve mezheplerin kıraatleri kabul etme hususunda ortaya koydukları usule paralel bir yaklaşım benimseyip benimsemedikleri değerlendirilmiştir.
The science of Qira'ah examines the different ways of reading the Qur'an and from whom they were transmitted. These different readings change the meaning of the verses from time to time. These different readings, especially for the Qur'an, which is the first source of reference for fiqh in terms of deduction of rulings, have been the subject of discussions by scholars. Qiraat differences have been included in the field of jurisprudence in two aspects. The first is the status of reciting different qiraats in prayer, which are not agreed upon to be accepted as the Qur'an, and whether these recitations will interfere with the validity of the prayer. The second is the status of these differences as evidence in terms of fiqh and their effect on the ruling. In terms of fiqh, the acceptability of the Qiraat has been divided into acceptable, tawakkuf (undecided), and merdūd categories, largely based on the strength of their scripts. In this study, the aspects of qiraat differences that affect the ruling in terms of fiqh and the methodology adopted by the sects on qiraat have been revealed. In this context, a conceptual basis in the fields of fiqh and qiraat has been established before examining the main subject of worship and the effect of qiraat differences. The study evaluates the effect of the differences in the Qira'ah on the rulings on issues related to cleanliness, prayer and fasting, hajj, pilgrimage and expiation, the approaches of the sects, and whether the sects have adopted an approach parallel to the methodology they have put forward in accepting the Qira'ah.
