Abstract:

Şirket sürdürülebilirliği gelişmekte olan bir yönetim paradigması olarak kabul edilebilir. Şirket sürdürülebilirliği, işletmelerin finansal sorumluluklarının yanı sıra sosyal, ekonomik ve çevresel sorumlulukların bir arada üstlenilmesi olarak ifade edilebilir. Sürdürülebilirliğin savunucuları, açık bir şekilde, işletmelerin artık bilinen geleneksel yöntemlerle iş yapmaya devam etmelerinin mümkün olmadığını ileri sürmektedir. Bu anlayış geleneksel büyüme ve kar maksimizasyonu modeline bir alternatif olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada, "şirket sürdürülebilirliği" yaklaşımının kökenlerine inilerek, bu yaklaşımdan beklenen faydalar ve uygulamalarda yardımcı olacak ilkeler, standartlar ve performans göstergeleri konusundaki gelişmelerin neler olduğu ortaya konulmuştur.
