This study focuses on the importance of pre-school education and how important science festivals are for this education. Preschool is an important opportunity to support children's development by combining them with language, nature and environmental interactions. However, the support of teachers and the school environment is needed. For this reason, rich learning areas such as science festivals can help children understand that the events and devices they see in their daily lives take place in a simple logic. The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of teachers in kindergartens in disadvantaged regions who participated in the science fair named “We are celebrating science from 7 to 77 with our Bursa science festival phase-1 kindergartens” held in Bursa Science and Technology Center. As a result of the survey conducted with 120 teachers, it was found that the science fair venue and workshops provided teachers with personal and professional benefits. It has been determined that the activities carried out in the festival have a positive effect on the social interactions of the children and that the teachers and students gain self-confidence. In line with the findings, it is suggested that the science fair provides various benefits for pre-school children in disadvantaged areas and its continuity should be supported.
