Abstract:

Reduplications of the study in hand are considered in all its bearings. The purpose of this study is to introduce the matters about reduplications as a idiom style, used since the historical period of Turkish language, and to try to find a solution for these matters in accordance with reduplications we garnered from twenty-eight works belong to Old Anatolian Turkish. In introductory chapter, descriptions and views on doubling words, suggested by the researchers of the field, are taken in hand. In this chapter, we have accentuated on the contribution we will supply with our study, the method we used, scope and restraints. Information is given about the texts we analysed. Reduplications we have presented in alphabetic sequence are examined by vocie analogy, syllable arrengement, origin, meaning, formation and are evaluated in terms of history of Turkish language. In final chapter, the result obtained from the texts analysed is paraphrased in light of numerical data.
