Abstract:

The aim of this study is to thematically examine the education and specialization fields and publications of academicians working in recreation management undergraduate programs in higher education institutions in Turkey. For this purpose, the information of academicians in the database of the Council of Higher Education between 27 May and 28 July 2022 was compiled, and this information was evaluated in terms of the fields of expertise of the people and the relationship of their publications with recreation management. Evaluated in terms of its relationship with recreation management. It was determined that there were a total of 92 instructors in 19 recreation management undergraduate programs within the faculty and college. These lecturers are divided according to their titles and higher education graduation degrees, and the publications of 71 lecturers' books/book chapters and articles were analyzed descriptively. In the analysis carried out, the names of the publications were examined and the works were grouped into seven main themes. When the academicians were evaluated according to their fields of expertise, 8 academicians whose doctoral field was leisure/leisure management were determined. It was determined that 238 of the 2100 book publications/book chapters and articles are related to the field of leisure management.
