Abstract:

The concept of corporate sustainability has become an extremely important concept worldwide along with the Brundtland Report published by the World Environment and Development Commission (WCED) in 1987. In recent years, are only producing and selling goods and services, but today they are considered the leaders of social and economic transformation, which increases their interest in corporate sustainability practices every day. The aim of this study is to figure out whether corporate sustainability practices have an impact on financial performance. In the study, the financial information of the 16 quarter period of 35 non-bank included in the BIST Corporate Sustainability Index in 2013-2016 was analyzed by panel data analysis method. Tests for the selection of the predictor to be used in the model have determined the Driscoll-Kraay resistant predictor as the model predictor. The analysis found that corporate sustainability practices had a statistically meaningful and positive impact on the financial performance of.
