Almanca yazan Türk asıllı yazarların Almanya'da yazdığı eserler, Alman toplumunun birlikte yaşadığı Türk toplumunun kültürünü daha iyi anlayarak ortak bir yaşam sürmelerine önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Emine Sevgi Özdamar'ın eserleri bunların en önemlilerindendir. ‘Emine Sevgi Özdamar’ın Öykülerinde Yabancı Kültürün Sunumu’ adlı çalışmada Türk asıllı Almanca yazan yazarlardan Emine Sevgi Özdamar’ın ‘Aynadaki Avlu’ başlıklı kitabında yer alan öykülerde Türk kültürüne özgü içeriklerin kültür aktarımı açısından değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda dil ve kültür arasındaki tartışmasız bağın en etkili kullanım biçimlerinden biri olan edebiyat eserlerinde sunulan kültürel özelliklerin insan hayatından ayrılamayacağı da tartışmasız bir gerçektir. Özellikle dil içerisinde kullandığımız deyimler ya da atasözlerinin o dile ait toplumsal kültürel birikimlerinin bir sonucu olduğu düşünüldüğünde öteki kültürdeki okuyucuya bu ifadelerin sunulması kültürlerarası iletişim ve etkileşimin geliştirilmesine yönelik ayrıca bir görev üstlendiği de söylenebilir. Bu bağlamda Emine Sevgi Özdamar'ın eserleri, kültürlerarasılık anlamında, Almanya'da yaşayan Türklerin kültürel davranışlarının kendine özgülüğünü ve kendi kültürü içindeki anlamlarını ortaya koyarak, Alman toplumunun Türkleri kendi kültürel davranış kalıpları içinde anlamasına önemli katkılar sağlamıştır. Buna paralel olarak Emine Sevgi Özdamar’ın kültürler arasında köprüler kuran ‘Aynadaki Avlu’ adlı kitabında yakın geçmişteki toplumsal-tarihsel olaylara anıları açısından baktığı ‘Aynadaki Avlu’, ‘Karagöz Almanya’da’, ‘Benim İstanbulum’ ve ‘Benim Berlinim’ öykülerinde kaleme aldığı Türk kültürüne özgü yapıların incelenerek farklı kültürlerin karşılaşması açısından önemi değerlendirilmeye çalışılacaktır.
The works written in Germany by Turkish writers in German language contribute significantly to a common life by better understanding the culture of the Turkish society in which the German society lives together. The work of Emine Love Özdamar is one of the most important. In the work entitled ‘The Presentation of Foreign Culture in the Stories of Emine Love Özdamar’ from Turkish German writers Emine Love Özdamar’s book entitled ‘Aynadaki Avlu’ is intended to evaluate the contents that are specific to Turkish culture in terms of cultural transfer. It is also unquestionable that the cultural characteristics presented in the literary works, which is one of the most effective uses of the unquestionable connection between language and culture, cannot be separated from human life. In particular, if we consider the words or speeches we use in the language as a result of the social and cultural accumulations of that language, it can also be said that the presentation of these expressions to the reader in the other culture is also a task for the development of inter-cultural communication and interaction. In this context, the works of Emine Sevgi Özdamar, in the sense of interculturality, revealed the authenticity and significance of the cultural behavior of the Turks living in Germany, contributed significantly to the German society’s understanding of the Turks within its own cultural behavior patterns. In parallel with this, Emine Love Özdamar's book "Aynadaki Avlu" which builds bridges between cultures, "Aynadaki Avlu", "Aynadaki Avlu", "Karagöz in Germany", "My Istanbulum" and "My Berlinim" will try to evaluate its importance in terms of the meeting of different cultures.
With the works written by Turkish authors of German origin in Germany, German society contributes significantly to their shared life by better understanding the culture of the Turkish society in which they live together. Emine Sevgi Özdamar's works are among the most important of them. In this study, ‘The Representation of Foreign Culture in Emine Sevgi Özdamars Narratives’, it is aimed to evaluate the content which is peculiar to Turkish culture in terms of cultural transfer in the narratives in the book titled ‘Courtyard in the Mirror’ by Emine Sevgi Özdamar, one of the German authors of Turkish descent. In this respect, it is an indisputable fact that the cultural features presented in literary works, which are one of the most effective ways of using the undisputed link between language and culture, cannot be separated from human life. Especially considering that the idioms or proverbs we use in language are the result of the social cultural accumulation of that language, it can be said that the presentation of these statements to the reader in the other culture also assumes a task for the development of intercultural communication and interaction. In this context, the works of Emine Sevgi Özdamar reveal the specifity and meaning of the cultural behavior of the Turks living in Germany in terms of interculturality. Özdamar’s work have contributed significantly to German society’s understanding of Turks in their own cultural behavior patterns. In parallel, Emine Sevgi Özdamar's book ‘The Courtyard in the Mirror’, which bridges between cultures, looks at recent social-historical events in terms of her memories. By examining the structures specific to Turkish culture written in the stories ‘The Courtyard in the Mirror’, ’Black Eye in Germany‘, ’My Istanbul‘ and ’My Berlin', the importance of different cultures will be evaluated in terms of the encounter.
