Abstract:

The fact that science affects social life more and more every day has increased people's curiosity towards science and caused the necessity to make sense of science. In our country, steps are taken to spread the culture of science in the society and supports are provided for scientific studies and projects by various institutions and organizations. The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey is one of these organizations, "to bring together the scientific community and to ensure dissemination in the community" within the scope of the 4004 Nature Education and Science Schools Support Program offers support to various projects. One of the projects deemed worthy to be supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey and realized in the Lake District is the “7/24 Science” project. The "7/24 Science" project is a science camp. This camp was held between 16-22 July 2019 in Burdur for 7 days with the participation of 20 students from rural schools. The project was carried out under Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University by the guidance of 17 expert tutor. was carried out by 17 Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. This article presents the detailed information about the preparation and implementation of the 7/24 Science project, about the activities carried out in the project, and the opinions of the students who participated in the “7/24 Science” project regarding the project and activities carried out in the project.
