Abstract:

Telemedicine refers to the provision of health services remotely by removing the distance barrier through information technologies. Telemedicine applications, which find a self-sufficient area of use in developed countries, are carried out intensively only in the field of tele-radiology in our country. However, telemedicine applications, which gained a legal basis with the “Regulation on the Delivery of Remote Health Services” issued by the Ministry of Health, will now be able to find use in other specialties in health institutions that have received permission. Thus, there will be a change in the way health services are delivered. In this context, health services marketing will also try to develop a strategy for this change. In this respect, it is aimed to evaluate telemedicine applications in terms of health services marketing within the framework of this study. As a result, changes can be expected in health care marketing strategically in service line, distribution and promotion activities, business processes and physical evidence. In addition, price mix within the scope of uncertainty of pricing and reimbursement method; Within the scope of medical ethics and privacy discussions, there are questions about how this change will be shaped in terms of the participants' mix.
