Abstract:

Education Information Network (EBA) is an internet-based educational infrastructure that is accessible to teachers as well as students via the General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies (YEĞİTEK). In addition to the content it hosts, it provides educational support through online lessons, student monitoring, assessment and evaluation activities, and more. During periods of pandemics and disasters, it serves as the central hub from which education is disseminated throughout the nation, thereby actively supporting education. This research aims to collect primary school teachers' perspectives who facilitated distance education via the EBA platform during the COVID-19 crisis. The study employed a case study approach, a qualitative research method. As instruments for data collection, the researchers developed structured interview forms. The participants were selected through convenience sampling and comprised 49 primary school teachers employed in diverse educational organizations. In the study, the data were analyzed utilizing content analysis. The results of the research indicate that there was a rise in the adoption of EBA by educators after the pandemic. Furthermore, their perception of EBA is more favorable than before the pandemic's outbreak. Aspects that require improvement include the quantity and quality of the content, a more balanced distribution across subjects, an increase in the quantity of assessment and evaluation activities, and an enhancement to the quality of online courses.
