Ortaokul Öğrencilerinin Öğrenme Sürecinde Yardım İsteme Düzeylerinin Demografik Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi

Yardım isteme; öğrencilerin öğrenme eyleminde aktif olarak yer almalarını sağlayan, karşılaştıkları akademik zorluklara çözüm üretmelerini destekleyen bir problem çözme stratejisidir. Bu araştırmada, ortaokul öğrencilerinin, öğrenme sürecinde yardım isteme düzeylerinin; cinsiyete, öğrenim gördükleri sınıf düzeyine, anne-baba öğrenim durumuna ve ders çalışma konusunda yardım aldıkları biri olup olmadığı değişkenlerine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tarama modelinde olan araştırma, İç Anadolu Bölgesi’nde bir ilin merkez ilçesinde, 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılının güz döneminde, bir devlet okulunun ortaokul bölümü 6,7 ve8. sınıfta öğrenimlerini sürdüren 243 öğrencinin katılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve Koç (2013) tarafından geliştirilen “Öğrenme Sürecinde Yardım İsteme Ölçeği (ÖSYİÖ)” ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma verileri IBM SPSS 24.0 programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde IBM SPSS 24.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, ortaokul öğrencilerinin öğrenme sürecinde yardım isteme düzeylerinin, yüzeysel yardım isteme boyutunda ortalamanın üzerinde olduğu, bu boyutu, yardım istemeden kaçınma ve etkili yardım isteme alt boyutlarının takip ettiği bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada, ortaokul öğrencilerinin öğrenme sürecinde yardım isteme düzeyleri cinsiyete göre incelendiğinde, kız öğrenciler lehine farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Anne ve baba öğrenim düzeyi değişkenine göre, anlamlı bir fark bulunmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Sınıf düzeyi değişkeninde, ölçeğin alt boyutlarından, etkili yardım isteme boyutunda, 8. Sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan ortaokul öğrencileri lehine bir farklılık olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Asking for help; It is a problem solving strategy that enables students to take active part in the learning process and support them to find solutions to the academic difficulties they face. In this study, the level of asking for help in the learning process of secondary school students; The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the gender, the level of education they study, the level of education of the parents, and whether or not they receive help in terms of study are different. The survey model was conducted ın the central district of a province in the Central Anatolia Region,and in the fall semester of 2017-2018 academic year. 243 students in the classroom. The data of the study were collected by the Ö Personal Information Form ”created by the researchers and” The Help Request Scale in the Learning Process (HRSLP) “developed by Koç (2013). Research data were analyzed with IBM SPSS 24.0 program. IBM SPSS 24.0 program was used in the analysis of the data obtained. As a result of the study, it was found that the level of asking for help in the learning process of middle school students was above the average in requesting superficial assistance, followed by this dimension, avoidance and help for effective assistance sub-dimensions. In the research, when the level of asking for help in the learning process of secondary school students was examined by gender, it was determined that there was a difference in favor of female students. There was no significant difference according to mother and father education level variable. In the class level variable, it was found that there was a difference in favor of the secondary school students who are studying in the 8th grade in the dimension of effective assistance. In addition, various suggestions were made in accordance with the research findings
