Bu çalışmanın temelini, Türk kültür hayatını yansıtan anonim halk edebiyatı mahsulü mâniler oluşturmaktadır. Türk kültür hazinelerinin korunması, bu hazinelere işlerlik kazandırılarak bunların kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılması amacıyla Türk milletinin güzel ve güzellik anlayışı, güzele/sevgiliye ait güzellik unsurları Türk mânilerinden hareketle tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu araştırmada verilerin anlamlandırılması sürecinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. "Demir, Necati (2013), Türk Mânileri, Ankara: Gazi Kitabevi." künyeli kaynakta yer alan 4068 mâni incelenmiş, belirlenen amaç doğrultusunda bu mâniler üzerinde çözümleme ve değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmayla Türklerin çok eski dönemlerden bu yana son derece gelişmiş bir güzellik duygusuna, estetik zevk ve anlayışına sahip; güzelden anlayan bir millet olduğu düşüncesi pekiştirilmiştir. Türk mânilerinde güzellik unsuru olarak saç, kaş, kirpik, göz, ben, yanak-gamze, yüz, boyun-gerdan, bel, topuk, ten, boy, yaş, söz, gülüş, koku, süs-takı, yürüyüş, cilve/işve/eda/naz mazmunlarının kullanıldığı görülmüştür. This study underlines the "mâni" which represents anonymous folk literature reflecting Turkish cultural life. Turkish nation's sense of beautiful and beauty, the elements of beauty which belong to beauty/beloved have been studied with reference to Turkish "mâni" in order to protect Turkish cultural treasures and ensure them to be inherited from generation to generation by functionalizing them. In the study, content analysis has been used in the process of data interpretation. 4068 "mâni"s which are in the source tagged with "Demir, Necati (2013), Türk Mânileri, Ankara: Gazi Kitabevi" have been examined and they have been analyzed and assessed in line with the predetermined purpose. With this study, it is consolidated that the Turks have always had advanced sense of beauty; they have always been a nation who has a taste for beauty and taste and sense of aesthetic since the old historical periods. It is observed that the poetic themes of hair, eyebrow, eyelash, eye, beauty spot, cheek-dimple, face, cheek-dewlap, waist, heel, skin, age, speech, smile, smell, jewellery/ornament, deportment, coquetry/manner/affection are used as elements of beauty in Turkish "mâni".
