Abstract:

Amaç: Beyoğlu Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi (BAİHL) öğrencilerinde internet bağımlılık düzeyi ve sosyal medya bağımlılık düzeyini incelemek, bu düzeyin başarı notu ile ilişkisini değerlendirmek ve bağımlılık düzeyinin sosyo-demografik yapı ile ilişkisini tespit etmektir. Materyal ve Metot: Araştırma kesitsel tipte tanımlayıcı anket araştırmasıdır. Beyoğlu Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesinde okuyan, yaşları 14-18 arasında değişen 150 öğrenci çalışmanın evrenini oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmaya gönüllü 108 öğrenci katılmış ve araştırma 6 aylık periyotta tamamlanmıştır. Uygulanan ankette internet ve sosyal medya bağımlılığını ölçen iki ölçek ve ilişkili olabileceği düşünülen sosyo-demografik özellikler yer almaktadır. Bulgular: Çalışmada kullanılan internet ve sosyal medya bağımlılığı ölçeklerinin iç tutarlılığı yüksek, güvenilir ve geçerli sonuçlar ürettiği belirlendi. Ayrıca yapısal geçerli bulundu. İnternet bağımlılığı ölçeğine ait toplam puan ortalaması 22.9±8.1, sosyal medya bağımlılık ölçeğine ait toplam puan ortalaması 31.8±11.6 olarak hesaplandı. İnternet ve sosyal medya bağımlılık puanları ile öğrencilerin birinci dönem not ortalaması arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamadı. Ayrıca sosyal medya bağımlılık puanının Facebook ve Instagram kullandığını söyleyenlerde anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek, sosyal medyayı eğlence amaçlı kullananlarda hem internet bağımlılığı hem de sosyal medya bağımlılığının diğerlerine göre anlamlı derecede fazla olduğu, ibadete bağımlılığı az veya orta düzeyde olanların internet ve sosyal medya bağımlılığının anlamlı düzeyde fazla olduğu ve sürekli spor yapanlarda internet bağımlılığının anlamlı derecede daha düşük düzeyde olduğu görüldü. Sonuç ve Öneriler: Başarılı eğitim veren okullarda ve başarılı öğrencilerde internet ve sosyal medya bağımlılığının daha düşük olduğu söylenebilir. Ayrıca dini inancının gereklerini yerine getirmeye daha çok gayret eden öğrencilerde internet/sosyal medya bağımlılığının söz konusu olmadığı söylenebilir.

Objective: To evaluate the level of internet and social media dependency level of students at Beyoğlu Anadolu Imam Hatip High School (BAIHL), to investigate the relationship between dependency level and achievement and socio-demographic characteristics. Material and Method: This is a cross-sectional descriptive survey study. A total of 150 students, the ages between 14-18, in the Beyoğlu Anadolu Imam Hatip High School constitutes the population of the study. Voluntary 108 students participated in the study and was completed in 6 months. The survey includes two scales measuring Internet and social media dependency, and the socio-demographic characteristics that are thought to be related. Results: The internet and social media dependency scales used in the study were found to have high internal consistency, reliable and valid results. Also found structural valid. The average total score of Internet dependency was 22.9 ± 8.1 and the average total score for social media dependency was 31.8 ± 11.6. There was no significant relationship between internet and social media dependency scores and first grade point average of students. In addition, social media dependency score is significantly higher in those who used Facebook and Instagram. Those who use social media for entertainment purposes and those sparse worshippers have significantly higher internet and social media dependency than others. Also the internet addiction was significantly lower in those who did continuous sports. Conclusions and suggestions: It can be said that internet and social media dependency is lower in successful schools and successful students. In addition, it can be said that there is no internet / social media dependency in students who try to fulfill the requirements of religious belief.
