Abstract:

Although there is a general recognition that the occupation cycle is high in the tourism sector, research in Turkey on the subject usually covers only one destination or one year. More extensive research is needed in order to obtain comprehensive scientific data on this issue. From this need to move, the rate of occupational turnover in the residential enterprises, which are part of the tourism sector, and the causes of this occupational turnover have been investigated at the regional level. The research was carried out in 4 and 5 star city hotels in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. The study is a quantitative research and the data is collected through the survey. The data obtained is analyzed. The research finds that the employee’s turn rate in the Eastern Mediterranean region is high, the reasons for the departure of those who are dismissed by their own will are insufficient, and the reasons for the departure by the administration are not able to show the performance that the employee’s work requires and not comply with the business rules. In order to reduce the damage they see from the employer period, companies need to employ more experienced employers in the business’s administrative sections.
