Abstract:

Günümüz hayatında önemli bir yeri olan interneti her alanda kullanmakta ve birçok yararını görmekteyiz ancak bireyler interneti kullanırken kontrollerini kaybettiklerinde, interneti sınırsız ve bilinçsiz kullandıklarında birçok olumsuzluk ortaya çıkmaktadır. İnterneti bilinçli kullanamayan kişilerde iletişim bozukluğu, odaklanma problemleri ve genel sağlık düzeyinin bozulduğu görülmüştür. Eğitim alanında da öğrencilerin dijital çağla uyumlu yetişmesi, doğru bilgiye ulaşma kanallarını etkili kullanması, ihtiyaç duyduğu alanda içerik ve süreç olarak nitelikli bilgi ağına ulaşması için internet kullanımı yaygındır. Geleceğin öğretmeni olan kişiler tarafından eğitim alanında sıkça kullanılan internetin nasıl algılandığı, ne sıklıkla başvurulduğu, ne kadar süre kullanıldığını belirlemek önemli görülmüştür. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı öğretmen adaylarının internet kullanım durumlarını ve internet kullanımına yönelik görüşlerinin çeşitli değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemektir. Tarama modeline göre desenlenen araştırmada Bayraktar (2001) tarafından Türkçe diline uyarlanan İnternet Bağımlılık Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinin son sınıfında öğrenim gören 285 öğretmen adayı ile yapılmıştır. İstatistik programıyla yapılan analiz sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının internet bağımlılık düzeyine cinsiyet, bölüm, internet bağlantısı olma durumu, bilgisayar sahibi olma durumu ve herhangi bir sosyal ağ üyeliği olma durumu değişkenlerinin etki ettiği bulunmuştur.

We use the internet, which is an important part in today’s life, in all areas and we see many benefits but when individuals lose control when they use the internet, when they use the internet unlimited and unconscious, many disadvantages arise. People who are unable to consciously use the Internet have been found to have communication disorders, focus problems, and overall health levels being deteriorated. In the field of education, the use of the internet is also widespread for students to grow in accordance with the digital age, to effectively use the channels of access to the correct information, to reach a qualified information network as content and process in the field they need. It has been important to determine how people who are the teachers of the future frequently use the internet in the field of education is perceived, how often it is applied, and how long it is used. The main objective of this study is to determine whether the status of the internet use and the views of the internet use of the teacher candidates differ according to the various variables. According to the screening model, the study used the Internet Addiction Scale, adapted to the Turkish language by Bayraktar (2001). The research was conducted in the 2016-2017 educational year with 285 teachers candidates who studied in the last class of the University of Inönü Education Faculty. The analysis of the statistical program has found that the level of internet addiction of teachers has been influenced by the variables of gender, section, status of internet connection, status of computer ownership and status of any social network membership.

At the present time, ‘’internet’’ has an important place and we use it in all fields and getting useful information but while we lose the control by using it with an unlimited and unconscious way, we are faced with a lot of problems. Those which are not able to use internet consciously are encountered with communication disorder, concentration problems and general health level deterioration problems. Internet usage is also common in education for the students to be in rapport with digital era, to use efficiently the ways to reach the correct and qualified information that they need as a content and process. Internet is mostly used by the teacher candidates at the education field. It is important to make a definition how internet is perceived, how often and how long we consult it. The main purpose of this study is to determine the following: internet usage status of the teacher candidates, their views to use the internet and also if last ones are different according to the some various variables. At the research figured according to the screening model, the Internet Addiction Scale which was adapted to the Turkish language by Bayraktar (2001) was used. The research was carried out with 285 teacher candidates studying in the last year at Education Faculty of İnönü University during the 2016-2017 academic year. As a result of the analysis made with statistics program, it was found that teachers candidates level of internet addiction was affected by gender, department, internet connection status, owning a computer and being a member of any social network.
