Abstract:

Web 2.0 teknolojisinin gelişmesiyle bloglar, mikro bloglar, sosyal ağ siteleri gelişmiş ve kullanıcı katılımlı bir medya sistemi ortaya çıkmıştır. Akıllı telefon teknolojisinin gelişmesiyle birlikte de kullanıcıların sosyal medya hesaplarına erişimleri kolaylaşmış, böylece sosyal medya kullanımında artış olmuştur. Sosyal medya günümüzde tüketici davranışlarını, bilgi edinme biçimlerini, bireylerin düşüncelerini, tutumlarını değiştirmiştir. Çevrimiçi ortamlar, her türlü yeni teknoloji, anlık mesajlaşma ortamları, cep telefonları, tartışma forumları, bilgisayar oyunları ve sosyal ağlar gibi yeni teknolojiler, bu teknolojinin içine doğan ve çok küçük yaşlardan itibaren teknoloji ile tanışarak kendisine teknolojik bir öğrenme dili geliştiren yeni kuşağın, eş deyişle dijital yerlilerin hayatlarının merkezini oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle dijital yerlilerin sosyal medya kullanımlarında son yıllarda artış gözlenmektedir. Bu artış, belirli oranlarda internet, akıllı telefon ve sosyal medya bağımlılığı gibi kavramların da tartışılmasına neden olmuştur. İnternet bağımlılığı ile doğrudan bağlantılı olan ve genel olarak akıllı telefon üzerinden sosyalleşmek anlamına gelen sosyotelizm ise özellikle ilişkilerin farklı şekillerde ortaya çıkmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın amacı, dijital yerlilerin sosyotelizm eğilimlerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi Halkla İlişkiler ve Reklamcılık Bölümü’nde öğrenim gören 3. sınıf öğrencileriyle (5 kadın, 5 erkek) yarı yapılandırılmış derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Bu görüşmeler 1. Gündelik Yaşam ve Sosyal Medya, 2. Akıllı Telefon Bağımlılığı ve 3. Yüz Yüze İletişim Sırasında Akıllı Telefon Kullanımı kategorileri altında nitel olarak (tematik analiz ile) çözümlenmiş ve dijital yerlilerin sosyotelizm eğiliminde oldukları sonucuna varılmıştır.

With the development of Web 2.0 technology, blogs, microblogs, social networking sites have evolved and a user participating media system has emerged. With the development of the smartphone technology, the user’s access to social media accounts has also been easier, thus increased the use of social media. Today, social media has changed consumer behavior, ways of acquiring information, thoughts, attitudes of individuals. New technologies, such as online environments, all kinds of new technologies, instant messaging environments, mobile phones, discussion forums, computer games and social networks, are the center of the new generation of digital indigenous people who are born in this technology and develop a technological learning language from very young age. In recent years, the use of social media has increased, by digital indigenous people. This increase has also led to the discussion of concepts such as internet, smartphone and social media addiction at certain rates. Socialism, which is directly linked to internet addiction and generally means socializing through the smartphone, in particular causes relationships to emerge in different ways. In this context, the aim of this study is to reveal the socialism trends of digital indigenous people. According to this goal, a half-structured deep conversation was held with third-class students (5 women, 5 men) studying in the Public Relations and Advertising Department of the Communications Faculty of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. These meetings: 1. Daily Life and Social Media, 2. Intelligent Phone Addiction 3. During face-to-face communication, the use of smart phones under the categories has been qualitatively analyzed (with thematic analysis) and the conclusion is that digital indigenous people tend to socialism.

New technologies such as online environments, all kinds of new technologies, instant messaging environments, mobile phones, discussion forums, computer games and social networks are the center of digital natives who born into this technology and developing a technological learning language by acquiring technology from a very young age. Social media usage of digital natives has increased in recent years. This increase has led to discussion of concepts such as internet, smartphone and social media addiction. Sociotelism, which is directly linked to internet addiction and means socializing via smart phone in general, causes relationships to emerge in different ways. In this context, the aim of this study is to reveal the tendency of digital natives to sociotelism. For this purpose, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 3rd grade students (5 females, 5 males) studying at the Department of Public Relations and Advertising of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. These interviews; 1. Everyday Life and Social Media, 2. Smart Phone Addiction and 3. Face-to-Face Communication during the use of Smart Phone categories were analyzed qualitatively and it was concluded that digital native people tend to sociotelism.
